Samajwadi Party (SP) National President Akhilesh Yadav launched a scathing attack on the BJP government on issues ranging from farmers to inflation, reservations, and corruption.

Starting with the Noida issue, Akhilesh Yadav said, “Businessmen and investors are coming to this area adjacent to Delhi, but the demands of the farmers on whose land these businesses are flourishing are not being met. The BJP government is conspiring and coercing farmers to take land from them.”

On Thursday, several leaders and supporters of the BSP and Apna Dal (Sonelal) joined the Samajwadi Party reposing faith in the party. During a press conference held at the state office on this occasion, Akhilesh Yadav said development cannot be justified at the cost of injustice to farmers. The Noida International Trade Fair is being held at a time when the US is imposing exorbitant tariffs on India and Indian businesses are suffering huge losses. The government should explain its actions to protect ODOP.

Pointing out that inflation is continuously rising and there are no measures in place to control it, he announced that if his party forms the government in 2027, Netaji and Dr. Lohia’s “Daam Bandho” policy will be implemented to contain inflation.

Akhilesh Yadav accused the BJP of breaking all records of corruption in Uttar Pradesh. “MLAs are saying from the stage that they would not speak out on the 10 per cent commission and are luring us into creams, powders, and shampoos. We will also go to the market,” he said, adding that only those who are making the most profits are being talked to.

Referring to Kanpur, he said criminals, the BJP, and the police are colluding with each other to harass the public there. The police themselves are kidnapping and demanding ransom. Many IPS officers and police officers will be exposed after the revelations.

Akhilesh Yadav stressed that caste is our first emotional connection. Citing Baba Saheb Ambedkar and the Mandal Commission, he said that the Constitution also provides reservation based on caste. He asked the government how many backward class members are in the Special Task Force (STF) and alleged that the BJP government is continuously insulting SCs, STs, and backward classes.

Without naming Om Prakash Rajbhar, he wished him a speedy recovery.

In the press conference, he also reiterated his commitment to taking strict action against those inciting violence and to focus on social justice.

Akhilesh Yadav also cornered the government on the situation in Leh-Ladakh. He said the BJP had promised statehood to the people there only to break the promise later. This is a border state where China has infiltrated. The government should focus on increased budget and development work there.

He alleged that BJP leaders are indigenous in words but foreign at heart who have no problem with China taking over our market. Taking a dig at the Make in India policy of the government, Akhilesh said if Make in India was to be promoted, the chief minister should be removed, as he does not like to travel abroad. He heard people with H1 visas have given the most votes to his government.
